Antique Jewelry, Estate Jewelry. Circa 1920s, 14k, Russian, Soviet Era, probably by Faberge workmen. Decorated with the Imperial double eagle Crest and set with a diamond, this enamel signet ring has an interesting history. It is an early Soviet era copy of late 1800s Faberge rings made for the Czar. The original rings were used as favors at receptions or as gifts to valued retainers. I have had an original Faberge example, so am familiar with them; I have also had other post-imperial Russian tourist pieces, featuring the Imperial Crest like this one, so I am familiar with those as well. Faberge work masters and goldsmiths continued to work for the Communists producing pieces that could be sold to visitors for hard currency.

For modern wear, this ring has a timeless town and country look. Well made, it is in very good condition.

Noted: I would be glad to provide our archive pictures of an original to the purchaser on request.
