Circa 1970s, 18k, by Kurt Aepli for Trudel, Zurich, Switzerland. Designed by Kurt Aepli, renowned master goldsmith, designer, and teacher, this pair of bracelets are an eloquent example of his approach to contemporary jewelry. Its motif, of circles in squares on a cube strung with spheres, is Art Deco re-imagined as postmodern minimalism. The spectacular diamond pave cube catches are one-of-a-kind stylish examples of seventies Art Jewelry. This striking pair of bracelets were meticulously made by Trudel of Zurich and are in excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "Given a creative autonomy at Trudel, Kurt Aepli assembled one of the greatest fabrication and design teams in the history of goldsmithing and proceeded to produce stunning works of art."

"As a teacher at the Zurich School of Applied Arts, Kurt Aepli influenced generations of goldsmiths. For 35 years his teachings in special subjects were compulsory. Experienced goldsmiths came from around the world to apprentice at Trudel just for a chance to work with him. In a quiet and unassuming way, he was an artistic rock star."
