#25775 - 4th Century Roman Gold Coin Ring
Price: $6,200.00

Circa 1960s, 22k ring and circa 364 AD 22k Roman coin. This delightful 4th-century Roman coin ring features Emperor Valens. Set with a gold solidus in a handmade 22k mounting, the look is rich, with a deep color ... unmistakably cover of Vogue. Finely fabricated, it is in excellent condition.

First Remark: "The ultimate in gold coin rings …Roman Gold!"

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "From Bulgari to Elizabeth Gage and on to Elizabeth Locke, setting ancient coins and seals has been popular with goldsmiths since the early 1800s. This ring is a wonderful mix of an ancient artifact and brilliantly heavy classical-style gold work. The best of both worlds, wear ability and serious history."
