Circa 1980s, 18k, by Pomellato, Italy. Pomellato is one of my favorite Brands. Established in Rome in the late sixties, their approach to jewelry design often combines the essence of medieval and Renaissance jewelry with contemporary fashion. This 71/2-inch-long bracelet has a modernist feel, softened by Old World handwork. Its diamond-set catch is both functional and decorative, very much in the Pomellato design toolbox; form follows function, follows form. The complex doubled links give the piece visual texture. As always with Pomellato, beautifully made. Excellent condition.
