Inv. #28032
#28032 - Art Deco Snake Necklace
Price: $18,300.00

Circa 1920s, 14k, Hungary.  This marvelous Art Deco jewel pairs a sleek tubogas necklace with an ornate snake form. The charming snake motif draws on ancient art and symbolism for a look that speaks tongues to ancient mysticism and hair flips to pop fashion. Finely hand-made and delightfully wearable, this necklace is in excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "Sleek serpents have long decorated our fingers, necks and wrists. In the Victorian period, they represented fidelity and friendship; now we love them for their edgy vibe.”
Condition: Excellent condition.

Stones: Ruby, diamonds, pearl and enamel
Hallmarks: 585 for 14k, Hungarian assay mark, and what appear to be two English Date marks
