Inv. #28220
#28220 - Antique Agate Snake Bracelet
Price: $9,800.00

Circa 1890s, 9k, Scotland. Often set with specimens of interesting local stones, jewelry of this type was created for the tourist trade primarily in Scotland. This bracelet is a "finer example made in 9k gold instead of silver and set with agate and hardstone." The stones are set in an intriguing pattern which highlights the clever combination of colors and textures. The look is one-of-a-kind fashion.   Excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "This is easily one of the finest examples of Scottish souvenir jewelry I have ever seen. Prized as colorful accessories in the 19th century, these pieces have never gone out of style."
