Inv. #23665
American Centennial Parade Flag c1876
Circa 1876, American. This original parade flag was the sort of festive patriotic goods street vendors would be selling at parades. In 1876, Americans celebrated 100 years of the grand experiment with bunting, bands, and a lot of flag-waving. This flag was there! Perfect for any décor; what is more iconic than the American flag.  Excellent condition.
Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "I love my country and its flag. Carried in battle by soldiers and worn in protests by hippies, Americans are united by the understanding that no matter what they believe, this is their flag."
Condition: Excellent condition.
Measurements: inside: 5 1/2 inches wide by 9 3/4 inches high frame: 8 5/8 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches high
