Inv. #22259
Art Deco Pottery Vase by Paul Jacquet
SOLD
Circa 1920s, by Paul Jacquet, France. A visionary figure in the 1920s French Decorative Arts scene, Paul Jacquet was known for his understated contemporary designs. This stunning example of Modernist aesthetics in the Art Deco period features dots and stripes on a gourd-form pottery vase. The colors are subtle and the balance of the composition thoughtful. Beautifully made, it is in good condition with a small loss to the glaze on one side, typical of this type of glaze.

Many of his pieces from this period can be found in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris
