Circa 1880s, 14k, Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Philadelphia.  From the august firm of Bailey, Banks and Biddle, this brooch is the height of Victorian Bespoke Fashion. Its one-of-a-kind miniature portrait is superbly painted and the hand-fabricated gold work equally sublime. Excellent condition: noted is an earlier restoration to the stem attachment.
