Circa 1980s, 18k, by Majo Fruithof, Zurich, Switzerland.  Stylishly bold, this 18k yellow gold ring features an 80-carat, deeply-hued amethyst. Working from her atelier in Zurich and known for sleekly massive designs, Majo Fruithof was one of the leading female goldsmiths in Europe (now retired). Playing with scale and lush color are her signature design traits. Weighing more than most bracelets, the ring is meticulously fabricated and in excellent condition.
Stone Details: This amethyst is a stunning deeply hued purple with no inclusions.
