Circa 1980, 18k, by Buccellati, Italy. A masterpiece from Mario Buccellati, the king of goldsmiths, this mythic pin features segrinato engraving and three colors of gold. A rare, larger size example, it is unusual to find one with three each acorns and oak leaves. Comes with the original box.
Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "Acorn and oak leaf motifs date back to the Greeks and Romans. They are the very definition of classical style."
