Inv. #15934
#15934 - Silver Coffee Pot Netherlands c1830 Albertus Homan
Price: $2,100.00

Circa 1830s, .875 fineness silver, by Albertus Homan, Amsterdam, Netherlands. After two hundred years, this coffee pot is as urbane and au-courant as the day it was made. The Nederlandish traveled and traded everywhere; their taste was global and very refined. Second only to London in silver exports, they were prolific silversmiths. Known for superb quality and exceptional designs, Albertus Homan created this coffee pot with an exotic coiled snake finial and an eagle's head spout. Very good condition with slight wear commensurate with age. Slight wrimpling on one side, probably original to the make.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "To own timeless style is delightful."
