Inv. #19356
Set Of 14 Steuben Water Tumblers c1953 American
SOLD

Circa 1953, Steuben, designed by Donald Pollard, American. This chic set of 14 water tumblers in the groundbreaking pattern No. 8041 by Steuben is the perfect mid-century tall water glass. Sleekly minimalist, the design shows a mastery of balance and proportion. Pushing the limit of the shape to the edge of functionality, they are well-made and deliciously heavy in hand. Excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: “Steuben is authentic American chic. Perfect in any décor and exceptional in a Mid-Century setting - think Vladimir Kagen or George Nakashima furniture. Form follows function follows form follows function… what could be more American than any piece where the decoration and the architecture are one?”
Condition: Excellent condition.
Hallmarks: Acid-etched signature “Steuben”
Measurements: 6.5 inches high
