Inv. #22445
Sixties Turquoise and Gold Ring
SOLD

Circa 1960s, 14k, American. This ring is a colorful example of a genre of jewelry that is entirely American. Self-taught hippie goldsmiths from the village in New York to beach communities in California were fearlessly making whatever they could imagine. In a world where everything was up for discussion, women were speaking their minds with bold new styles and colors, rings like this one were part of that conversation. The turquoise is a delicate green with a distinctive matrix that compliments the simple organic form. Beautifully made with a solid feel on the hand, it is in excellent condition.

Stone Details: American Turquoise, fine quality and good size with an interesting figure.
Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "Signature "American Girl" style, easy breezy -- bold and confident."
Condition: Excellent condition.
Weight: 7 gr
Stones: Turquoise
Hallmarks: None, tested 14k
