Reed & Barton “Love Disarmed” Gilded Sterling Serving Fork and Spoon

Circa 1905, Sterling, Reed & Barton, Taunton, MA.  This "Love Disarmed" pattern gilded sterling serving fork and spoon is originally intended for salad, but will serve a modern table in a variety of ways. This pattern is considered a pinnacle of American flatware design. The fork is 10 1/2" long, and the spoon is 10 5/8".  The gold wash to bowls is intact with very minor wear to underside. The two pieces are generally in excellent condition with minimal wear noted, consistent with gentle use and good care. No monogram or removal noted.
Condition: Excellent condition.

Hallmarks: Early Reed & Barton maker’s mark, Sterling, and Patent applied for.
